Meet the minds behind Nordic Perfumers – Ole Johnsen and Kathryn Brown. Their journey began with the delicate art of tea-flavoring, working with essential oils like bergamot, peppermint, rose, as well as extracts, fruits and flora. This expertise in blending scents for tea naturally evolved into a fascination with the broader, more intricate world of fragrance, to explore beyond the realm of taste and venture into the rich, layered landscape of perfume.
The catalyst for Kathryn in this transformation was the Grasse Institute of Perfumery. The experience unlocked a new realm of possibilities – from calming woods to sensual musk, the ability to create and bottle memories and dreams was, to Kathryn, nothing short of a superpower.
“In that moment, everything aligned. My life’s passions, my drawn interests – they all made sense. It marked the beginning of a lifelong journey of smelling, learning, and loving every moment of it.”
It is with this new-found passion that Kathryn and Ole embark on their new chapter together,
